WRAC Featured on 13WMAZ for collaboration with Lindsey Student Support Center

The Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, through its Physical and Mental Health Committee, delivered a variety of collected items to the Lindsey Student Support Center. This generous service initiative was featured on 13WMAZ news broadcasts on January 13, 2025. What an impactful way to honor the legacy of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated on Founders Day! 🔺 On January 9, the Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, through its Physical and Mental Health Committee, delivered a variety of collected items to the Lindsey Student Support Center. The Lindsey Student Support Center fosters learning opportunities and cohesion in the surrounding community while offering services aimed at educating the whole child. This delivery included essential items such as sanitary napkins and panty liners in support of the Menstrual Equity for All Act.  In addition, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, deodorant, and lotions were provided to support students’ personal hygiene. These donations will be distributed across Houston County schools and made accessible to the broader community. A total of 2,040 items were delivered! Mrs. Bonnie Brown, Coordinator of Student Services, also presented Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter with a certificate of appreciation for our community collaboration service efforts with the Lindsey Student Support Center. This initiative perfectly embodies Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s National Strategic Plan Component of Empowering Women and Girls, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to addressing critical needs in our community. Census Signing Event on February 13th

The Houston County 2020 Census Complete Committee, Georgia Women (And Those Who Stand With Us) and the Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated will host a postcard messaging and addressing event on Feb. 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Rigby’s Entertainment Complex. Members of these three organizations and others will write personal messages and address postcards to Houston County residents to encourage them to participate in the 2020 Census. The goal is to raise public awareness about the importance and need to participate in the Census. Any Houston County resident who is interested in participating is invited to assist with this effort.
