Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, through its Physical and Mental Health Committee, participated in the Houston County Board of Health meeting on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 8:00 AM. This meeting, which typically includes key stakeholders such as the Mayor, County Commissioners, the Superintendent, the Chief of Staff for Houston Medical, the Medical Director for the North Central Health District, and others, provided our organization with a platform to contribute to meaningful community initiatives.   During this meeting, we proudly presented two adult female bicycles, helmets, bike headlamps, reflective safety vests, air pumps, and a monetary donation to support the Houston County Department of Public Health’s CARES/Reentry Wellness Program and the Reentry Act. These contributions aim to enhance the health and well-being of individuals reentering the community, aligning with the Physical and Mental Health component of our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, as well as our commitment to promoting holistic wellness. This initiative perfectly embodies Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s National Strategic Plan Component of Empowering Women and Girls, and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to addressing critical needs in our community. This impactful service project precedes the commemoration of our 112th Founders Day on January 13, 2025. #DST1913 #DST112 #TogetherWeRiseDST #ForwardWithFortitude #WRACServes
