With zeal to serve the public, the Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter (WRAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on March 4, 1989. Our mission is to foster the high ideals of community service which are reflected in the sorority’s national program. In light of the chapter serving as an interchange connection for many transient sorors, the WRAC has been very visible in the community since its inception 22 years ago.
Annually, the chapter awards scholarships to deserving college-bound high school graduates; provides daycare tuition for a child to attend a learning center; sponsors a poetry/art contest to showcase the artistic ability of local youths; conducts SAT and financial aid workshops; promotes the Red Ribbon campaign in the fight against HIV/AIDS; partners with the city’s CASA and Habitat for Humanity programs; adopts charities for holidays; hosts an International Day of Service event; and participates in Relay for Life. We’ve also held numerous voters’ registration drives and hosts the annual Delta Scholarship Ball, Sisterhood and Scholarship Luncheon, and the Delta Pageant/Cotillion.
